Killing Floor – Book Review
Have you heard the hype (and outrage) about Tom Cruise staring as Jack Reacher from Lee Child’s internationally best-selling series?
No, I hadn’t either… Well, I’d heard whispers, so with curiosity getting the better of me I went in on the ground level.
Killing Floor is the first in the Jack Reacher series… He’s a drifter, ex-military cop and a righter of wrongs or so it seems. So you’d best buckle in because Lee Child is about to take you on a hell of a ride.
It’s almost non-stop action as he hops off a bus in a small town, looking for a blues legend and ends up being arrested. From there the tale twists and turns as he gets pulled in deeper and darker. There’s the mystery of a lost brother, who uncovered another mystery and while the body count keeps climbing Jack Reacher keeps on.
It’s a logical place to start, and at one stage I wearied of action and just wanted a conclusion, but if you like your action thrillers like Cussler or Baldacci, I think any Lee Child novel would be a great place to start.
