Redkiteathon hits town to help kids with cancer!

2CH are throwing their support behind children with cancer by holding the inaugural ‘Redkiteathon’ to raise funds for children’s cancer charity, Redkite.

Every six hours a family in Australia is told their child has cancer. Redkite is a national charity that provides emotional, financial and educational support for young adults with cancer and their families.

Redkiteathon offers listeners the chance to hear first-hand about the work Redkite does, talking with families living with cancer and Redkite staff. Listeners can make a huge difference by supporting this charity’s important work.

Monique Keighery, General Manager of Marketing and Fundraising at Redkite, said the enthusiasm and support from 2CH and their teams has been incredible.

“The team at Redkite are very excited that 2CH are holding Redkiteathon for the first time this year. It’s a campaign that will make a significant difference to the lives of children with cancer and their families.”

“The generosity of 2CH listeners will help ensure that Redkite can provide practical, must-have support to more kids and families who need it – support like information, counselling and financial assistance. When their lives are turned upside down emotionally and financially by cancer, we need to be here for them,” she added.

“As a charity that receives no government funding, we couldn’t do what we do without the support of partners such as 2CH. Redkiteathon will make a big difference toward raising much-needed funds and spreading the word across the community about the support we offer.”
