Watch Lonnie Lee, Rockabilly’s finest, perform at the Bryan Brown Theatre
Lonnie Lee is Rockabilly’s finest, offering a show unlike any other. It’s Lee’s natural knack of transforming relatively staid songs into something spectacularly sexy, with throats-a-rumblin’ and sharp shoulders twitchin’ to the rhythm that will see your body bop and boogie all night long. It’s a gloriously comprehensive set, nodding to both the obvious staples and plenty of more obscure tracks, and comes packaged in Lee’s latest Solo tour: Solid Gold.
“My show brings everything into one authentic songbook, which I enjoy performing very much,” explains Lee. “I identify with all the songs I sing, as if they’re my own, as they’re close to mine and my audience’s hearts. I take my live shows very seriously and am quite well-known for changing my shows and incorporating fresh material so that my audiences don’t get bored. I’m so very appreciative of the fact that people, after so many years, still come to my shows. I feel blessed to be healthy and able enough to still do what I love the most; and that is to sing!”
Considered to be the ‘Last Man Standing’ of his era Sit back and cruise along with Lonnie Lee in this unique and authentic set of songs.
CELEBRATING THE EUROPEAN TENORS OF OUR TIME
There is no doubt that TENORS UNITED is one of the most anticipated creations of this summer in Sydney.
Produced by Sydney based Entertainer & Producer Milko Foucault – Larche, the new stage show is a tribute to some of the most famous; and less famous, European Tenors of our time.
International stars Plácido Domingo, José Carreras, Luciano Pavarotti, Andrea Bocelli, Roberto Alagna, Jonas Kaufmann & Luis Mariano inspire the musical backdrop of this new venture within the Australian showbiz skyline.
Foucault – Larche has joined forces with seasoned performers Jon Carlo & Roddy Montez to deliver this European musical feast. Rediscover some of the most famous Operatic arias of all time, the most enchanting Neapolitan songs, the most vibrant Spanish Zarzuelas and the ever lasting romance of French & Viennese music spiced up by the addition of enduring Classic pop songs that we know and love.
Joining the production is Emily Garth, one of Australia’s most versatile musical – theatre & classical Sopranos. The audience can expect classic duets when Emily joins Jon, Roddy & Milko throughout the show.
TENORS UNITED will be accompanied by The Sydney Cosmopolitan Orchestra under the Musical Direction of Bev Kennedy.
The Bryan Brown Theatre in Bankstown will host the launch of this new production.
Join the hype of an Opening Night on Saturday 11th November at 8.00 pm.
