Say You’re Sorry – Book Review

The latest offering from Crime Author extraordinaire Michael Robotham is creepy.

You don’t need to have read the ones before it to pick up the characters or their traits; you’re skilfully introduced/reminded of them and the roles that they played previously.

But that’s not the creepy part.

The creepy part is the story itself. A murder in an old farmhouse that doesn’t sit right and eventually points to an old missing persons. One where two girls disappeared; although its later uncovered that they were kidnapped and held for three years by someone in the close knit community… And no one knows who, and no one knows where.

You’re seeing the crime from one of the girl’s perspectives, Piper, as well as Clinical Psychologist Joe O’Loughlin, hoping against hope that the two will actually meet.

Say You’re Sorry is crafted well. You’ll be drawn in quickly, the words will flow into your mind with the story half formed due to some horrendous events we’ve seen in the news.

And if you’re like me, you’ll be on the edge of your seat, with fingers and toes crossed, long before the last few pages are even reached.
